Michal Kromann Training
"Filipino martial arts is my life. It's a system where you can learn a lot of techniques and develop a lot of spectrum with endless possibilities."
I remember Michal Kromann stating this as we were giving out ideas to each other last December 2009. He came to the Philippines 10 years ago and studied with Punong Lakan Garitony "Pet" Nicolas, founder of Modern Arnis Mano-Mano Filipino Martial Arts and father of Modern Sinawali. This is his 2nd time here in the Philippines. Within the 10 year gap, Michal taught FMA in Germany where he also founded the group KASAMA - Institute of Asian Combat Techniques. Coming back here in the Philippines, he updated his knowledge with Punong Lakan Nicolas and was able to train with our Single blade Curriculum last January 2010.
In addition to Michal's return here, he wanted to experience a different sight other than FMA or the city. After the duration of his training, we took him to the province of Cavite where we visited a farm, Emilio Aguinaldo's house, and the birth and resting place of Grand Tuhon Baltazar "Tatang Bo" Sayoc, founder of Sayoc Kali, in Imus, Cavite. It was one good experience for him to see small sights of the Filipino culture and enjoyed it very much.
